Summary

The project consists of a Virtual Reality experience in the form of a video game, with features that complement each other to result in a solid experience. Acacia consists of an immersive semi-open world experience, where a modality of free exploration is proposed without limiting the player to follow a linear progression mode. In each present scenario, the player will be able to interact with objects around them and discover the actions that can be performed with them, since this experience is aimed at an audience that has not had previous experiences with the use of Virtual Reality. Additionally, the scenarios that make up the experience aim to imitate the feeling of being in the midst of nature while using fictitious elements characteristic of fantasy to define a particular style for these virtual worlds that seek to captivate the player, which also, accompanied by sound design such as ambient music and sound effects, and an artistic style that defines the identity of the experience, aims to provide a pleasant experience for the player. Therefore, Acacia is a brief experience of free exploration and a demonstration of interactivity examples with virtual worlds and objects for a general audience.

Game Identity / Mantra:

This experience seeks to embark the player on an immersive adventure where every action and path reveals particular details of the world they will encounter, evoking emotions such as joy, curiosity, fear, and calm as they navigate through the world and what surrounds them.

Genre: Exploration, Walking Simulator

Story: In a unique vibrant world, the player assumes the role of an explorer without a predetermined path. As they navigate through various landscapes, they discover ancient ruins and other details of the world that narrate the forgotten history of these enchanted lands. Without a linear narrative, each choice and discovery of the player contributes to a deeper understanding of the world and its legacy.

Mechanics: Players interact with the environment through actions such as climbing mountains, shooting arrows to solve puzzles, or unlocking new areas and opening doors that lead to unexplored paths. The experience focuses on the freedom of exploration, offering multiple routes and small dynamic challenges that reward curiosity and ingenuity with new discoveries and stunning views. Total immersion is achieved through detailed graphics, ambient sound, and an intuitive interface that allows players to feel a genuine connection to the world they are exploring.

Audience

This experience is primarily aimed at people who have not previously tried other Virtual Reality experiences and who want to learn about this technology. Designed to be an entertaining experience. Targeted at casual gamers looking for a fun and interesting experience without needing to invest a lot of time or effort.

Regarding the user interface, these are the controls that are part of the experience, which the user has at their disposal; the controls were assigned in such a way as to simulate as much as possible interacting with objects as if it were real life.
